Sad Story-14 Years Old Girl Married And Divorced Twice

Maimuna is a 14 year old girl who was forced into marriage to a man that is twice her age, although she has escaped from the hands of the man and her parents and now learns how to sew,she wants the world to hear her story and give girls like her in the same situation hope. Read her story below: Maimuna Abdullahi was sold into marriage by her parents for £120 and abused by her new husband, who locked her away and forced hard labour on her. When she ran home she was beaten, first by her father, then her husband, and was summarily divorced by her husband for daring to flee – and she is still just 14 years old. She is one of thousands in Nigeria with similar stories – and, shockingly, her husband blames his beaten former bride for her ordeal, saying she was disobedient and over-educated.
Saidu Maimuna’s former husband, Mahammadu Saidu, blames her few years of school for her disobedience. A handsome man of 28 who is obviously proud of his ankle-high boots, he does not deny beating his wife. ‘She had too much ABCD,’ he says. ‘Too much ABCD.’ After fleeing her husband Mahammadu Saidu, who locked her away for days at a time, she was whipped by her family for daring to come home, then attacked by her furious husband as well. Her battered face swelled so much that doctors feared her husband had dislocated her jaw. Her back and arms bristled with angry welts from the whipping her father gave her. She was gaunt from hunger, dressed in filthy rags. And barely a year after her wedding, she was divorced. No sanctuary: Maimuna's parents, Rabi Abdullahi, left and Haruna Abdullahi, right, have seven other children and say it is not unusual to marry as young as 12
Maimuna's parents It would be a tragic story for a woman of any age. But for Maimuna Abdullahi, it all happened by the time she was 14. ‘I’m too scared to go back home,’ she whispers, a frown crinkling her brow as she fiddles nervously with her hands. ‘I know they will force me to go back to my husband.’ Nigeria, a young country of about 170 million, has one of the highest rates of child marriage in the world. The law of the land states that the age of consent, and thus of marriage, is 18. However, the custom of child marriage is still ingrained enough that even a middle-aged federal senator has married five child brides and divorced at least one. Across the country, one in five girls are married before the age of 15, according to the United Nations. In the desperately poor Muslim north, where child marriage is often considered acceptable by shariah or Islamic law, that number goes up to one in two. This is also where Boko Haram is trying to impose its extreme version of Islam, changing the face of the region and especially of its girls. Children as young as five now hide their heads and shoulders in hijabs, a rare sight just a few years ago. Some girls become wives as early as nine. Maimuna was saved from this fate by Saadatu Aliyu, who has turned an old family home into a school for divorced girls. At the Tattalli Free School, which gets by on private donations, a couple of dozen girls gather in the courtyard for a sewing lesson. Toddlers mill around, the children of divorced girls who came in pregnant. ‘Nobody knows how many thousands of them there are,’ says Aliyu of the girls. ‘That’s why we have so many prostitutes, and very young ones, in the north.’ Maimuna grew up on the outskirts of Kaduna, in a half-finished brick building on the edge of a middle-class suburb. Her father, a farmer called Haruna Abdullahi, picks up a stone and throws it at a stray dog as scrawny as he is. At 45, he’s been married for 30 years and has fathered eight children. ‘It’s our culture to give our girls in marriage,’ he says in a reasoning tone. ‘From the age of 12, a girl can go to her husband’s house.’ His wife, Rabi Abdullahi, nods, and asks her husband’s permission before talking. She too was a child when she married, although she does not know exactly how old. ‘It is our way of life,’ she says. ‘In my day, a bride would never dare to run away.’ Her life is hard, she says, but her marriage good. She insists that her husband is not a cruel man, pointing to a well he built so she did not need to walk more than a mile to collect water. So in late 2012, Maimuna’s father arranged to marry his eldest daughter to his best friend’s eldest son. The son, Saidu, paid a dowry of 35,000 naira (£120) for Maimuna – more cash than Abdullahi has had in his life. She was 13, and he twice her age. Saidu farms his own plot of land and owns a small motorbike, making him relatively well off and eligible. He says he has known Maimuna all his life, and waited years for her to reach what he considers marriageable age. ‘When she was a kid, I would bring her candy and call her “wifey”,’ he says. ‘We were always meant to be together.’ Saidu left his village school at fifth grade, the highest level offered, and says he regrets it. The high school was in another village, too far to walk. Now he cannot write, and must find someone else to read him even the most personal of letters. He says he promised Maimuna she could carry on going to school, even if it meant he had to find work in town. But he also worried. ‘If she is educated, she will be looking down on me because I didn’t go to school, so she will be the husband and I will be the wife,’ he explains. Maimuna said she did not love him and begged her father to let her stay in school. She had always been a good daughter, obedient, hard-working and popular among her friends, so her stubborn refusal to accept her marriage surprised her parents. But her wishes were not up for discussion. Her father was clear on what counts: ‘It’s what is good for the family and the community.’ Many of Maimuna’s friends from school were already married and not one was happy, but they had no idea how to escape. Nobody prepared Maimuna for the marriage bed. There was no advice, no warning of what to expect, even from her married friends. She settled into a new life where she felt like a slave. When she wasn’t working in the fields, she was cleaning, carrying water and firewood, cooking and at the beck and call of her husband’s demanding parents. Every day she was exhausted, and when she finally got to bed, her husband wanted to ‘bother’ her, she says. He never kept his promise to let her go to school. When she objected to her treatment, her husband locked her into their hut, for days. He would not even allow her to visit her parents. Maimuna bided her time until the rainy season was over and her husband went to town to find work. Nine months ago, she took off, escaping to her father and begging him to let her return home. Instead, he whipped her until her back was raw. Then he summoned her husband and forced her to go back to him. Saidu, humiliated and furious, slapped her repeatedly in the face, jerking her head from side to side with the force of his blows. She fled once again, first to a sympathetic aunt in a nearby village and then to a cousin in Kaduna. She now shares one cramped room with her cousin’s family, just a short walk away from Tattalli school, down a dusty alley and along a road lined by open drains stinking of stagnant water. When Maimuna showed up at the school, she had been badly beaten and refused to speak, says teacher Victoria Dung. They took her to the hospital, where doctors found she was badly malnourished. The whip marks on her back may last a lifetime. Her husband waited the customary three months to make sure there was no baby. Then he divorced her, as a husband can do under shariah or Islamic law by declaring the divorce aloud three times. He informed her parents of the divorce in a letter dated Feb. 14, which he could not write himself. Maimuna considers herself among the lucky ones. She balances a broken chair on a tree stump at the school to sit in front of a sewing machine, learning to make garments she can sell in the market. She thinks she’d like nursing, and wants to master English and Arabic. ‘I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up but, even if I get married, I want to have some education to back me up,’ she says in her native Hausa, with a teacher translating. ‘I pray that what I have done will help the younger ones, that my parents learn from the experience of my running away from home.’ It is by no means certain. After her departure, Maimuna’s father called a community meeting to discuss the problem with elders. He says he knows of many girls who ran away from home because of marriages, but the elders have not yet come up with a solution. Some girls are rebelling in other ways. A 14-year-old forced to marry a 39-year-old in April poisoned the groom’s food a week after their wedding, killing him and three of his friends. Why are the Uneducated Northerners this ....

It Would Get Better

When I was a kid I saw life as a bed of roses, I used to wish for a lot and of course I used to to get all that I wished for. All I ever wanted during the days that are gone I no longer want. All I ever fought for, seems to all fade away in unforgettable sweet memories. I no longer think of all I want, nor do think I of life as a bed of roses. Instead I see life as a mini box with different shades, I now fight endlessly to get what I need, I now fight to excel. Yet,the fear of the unknown stings me like a scorpion attacking its victim. When I sleep, I sleep not in peace. Too much of pressure I do feel most of the time. I feel like my best is not enough. The question of what if? leaves me afraid, empty, defeated and victimized. long ago,I have lost my senses of humor too serious I have become, too conscious I have become, too pained I feel. I feel like every body is out to get me. Yesterday I was disappointed by her, the day before I was disappointed in him, the day before the previous day I was disappointed by them, three days ago I was disappointed in the sourness of humans. Which leaves me wondering where are my true friends? why cant we all love and not make everything a competition? Jealousy the root of all evil, I try turn away from and be against. Pride I have tried to deviate from but I see that nature cannot be cheated, as it runs in the blood. Always does my heart beat when I think of the possibility of not succeeding, I feel the erratic blows wildly in,wildly out in my heart not of fear but of pressure. The labor of my mother must not be in vain, that woman is a mother "okunrin meta ninu obinrin" I love that woman. In the end, My life is going to be a huge success I am going to be wealthier than the wealthiest and my children will be Abisolarized-. born in wealth.

Our close shave with death — Abuja blast survivors tell their 'hearbreaking' story

Some of the hospitalised victims of the Emab Plaza explosion in Abuja on Thursday recounted their experience and thanked God for sparing their lives. The explosion had happened on Wednesday.
Bomber pretended to be drunk –Tyokasi Tyokasi, a 22-year-old student of the National Open University of Nigeria, said, “I am studying Business Entrepreneurship and Management. “On that fateful day, I just crossed over to buy corn because I was a bit hungry. I bought the corn but when I turned back, I saw the man (bomber) driving a Toyota Sienna and trying to get into the plaza through the exit gate. The security men told him to go back and follow the right way but he was behaving as if he was drunk. “Within seconds after I left that point, I heard a big bang and found myself on the ground. My right leg was affected. Presently, I can’t stand with it. The bomber bought newspaper from me –Ojeh Nineteen -year-old Ojeh said the bomber first bought a newspaper from him and asked irrelevant questions before leaving to enter his vehicle. “One man wearing caftan came to buy a newspaper from me and was asking me irrelevant questions. Even when I wanted to give him his change, he wasn’t ready to collect it. He kept asking me irrelevant questions. If I answer him, he would laugh and ask another question. Afterwards, he left and entered his vehicle close to the exit gate of the plaza. It was not long after he left that there was an explosion and I saw myself on the road before the police came .” I saw corpses everywhere – Ademola Twenty four –year-old Ademola, who is a fashion designer, also said the bomber insisted on going into the Plaza through the exit gate. He added, “When he (bomber) was challenged by the security men at the exit gate, he insisted on going ahead. As he bent his head towards the Sienna that he was driving, I told my friend that we should get away from there. “Within a few seconds, there was an explosion. Many people died and that is why I give thanks to Almighty God. I saw many corpses on the ground. Heads, hands and legs littered everywhere.
I thought my head was blown off –Olatunji Olatunji, a student of Biology/Integrated Science at the Federal College of Education, Kontangora, Niger State, said he arrived in Abuja from Oyo State on Wednesday only to be welcomed by the blast. He said, “I came from Oyo State yesterday (Wednesday) to hussle and make some money for my school fees before the end of the strike by Polytechnics and colleges of education workers. “As a casual staff with Glo, I normally get Sim cards to sell and make some money. The incident happened when we were going to the mosque to observe the 4pm prayer. On our way, we saw some people arguing and they didn’t allow a car to enter the plaza. “As the argument continued, I heard an explosion and immediately, I saw human flesh and bones littering everywhere. I was confused and I din’t know what I was doing again. I thought my head had been blown off by the blast. I touched my head while on the ground and realised that it was there. I stood up and was looking for help, but help didn’t come immediately. Taxi driver cheats death A taxi driver, who identified himself as Malachy Odo, said he was caught up in the midst of the ravaging fire after the bomb exploded at the car park of Emab Plaza. He said: “I had arrived at the plaza in my cab minutes earlier. After the last passenger alighted from the cab, I was reversing when I heard the explosion. My car went up in flames, and I struggled to pass through the window and in the process my left hand caught fire. As I was running for my dear life, broken glasses pierced my feet. I was later rushed by rescuers to Maitama General Hospital.” Another survivor, Mrs Mary Andrew, said she was lying on the ground beside her groundnut tray, while waiting for buyers at the entrance of Emab Plaza, when the blast occurred. According to her: “I was lying down when the bomb exploded, and my baby was also with me. After the blast, I discovered that three of my fellow groundnut sellers were dead. I was very lucky, I was not hurt, and I thank God for saving my life.” I was covered with broken glasses —Olasupo Samuel Olasupo, who sells and repairs mobile phones at Emab plaza had this to say: “I was about to take step out of my shop to the gate to buy corn, when the bomb exploded. I was thrown to the floor and my body was pierced by pieces of glass. When I recovered from the impact of the blast, I gave glory to God.” He said the bomb-laden car was said to have been parked at the entrance of the plaza for more than 30 minutes with nobody inside. Another eyewitness who spoke to Vanguard identified himself as Joseph Okonkwo. Okonkwo who said he is a journalist said his office was located at Emab Plaza. He said he writes for Legis Magazine based in Abuja. Said he: “As I was entering Emab Plaza, yesterday (Wednesday), I walked past a particular shop I normally go to which is close to the gate. I later saw the person I went to visit and discussed with him after which I suddenly heard a big bang. A lot of things flew into the air. I saw a lot of smoke. “I began to run and when I was about to jump a fence, I saw some people whose skin had been peeled by the heat generated by the blast. They were trying to jump too. Everybody ran to the back side because the explosion occurred at the gate. Some people who were close to me were affected by the blast. The impact of the blast is still disturbing me. I was psychologically affected but physically okay.”

Female kidnapper strangles & ties neighbor's 6-year old son in a box (Photo)

A ritualist den belonging to the General Overseer of Holy Family Ministry (House of Mercy), Pastor Ernest Nwankwo has been uncovered at Ogolonto area in Ikorodu, Lagos.
The den was discovered on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, after a failed attempt by a member of Pastor Nwankwo's church, Rosemary Chukwu (Mama Ifunaya) - a mother of four - to kidnap her neighbor's 7 year old son, Emeka Emmanuel. Emmanuel said Mama Ifunaya, who was a neighbour, lured him into her room, strangled him, covered his mouth with clothes before tying him up with rope to prevent him from screaming. He said, “I wanted to draw water and take my bath before going to school when she told me to come. I went because I know her; she is Mama Ifunnaya. But when I got to her side, she threw me inside her room… she closed her net. She then tied me and put me inside a box. “I wanted to shout, but I could not shout properly. I heard my mummy’s voice when she was looking for me, but I could not shout. She (pointing to the suspect) is a wicked person.” Emmanuel’s neck had marks, while his eyes were bloodshot. The victim’s mother, Mrs. Gloria Emeka, told Punch that she never suspected her neighbour because while she was searching for her child, the suspect was in her room with her children praying and shouting “holy ghost fire.” She said she later discovered it was a ploy to prevent her from hearing Emmanuel’s screams. She said, “On Tuesday morning, I was preparing Emmanuel to go to school. He told me he wanted to fetch the water from the well. “I left him and went inside the kitchen where I was cooking. But what I heard next was the muffled voice of my child and I ran out. “I began shouting his name, but I didn’t see him. I, however, observed that my neighbour’s door was slightly opened and I entered. I met her children and asked them if they saw Emmanuel, but they said no. “I looked everywhere without a trace of my son. People joined me and we searched the surroundings, but we couldn’t find him. “My landlady’s son entered the well to see if he fell into the well, but he came out and said he couldn’t find anything.” While this was on, Mama Ifunaya was said to have sent her four kids out of the house. More people joined the search party, while Mama Ifunaya stayed in her mini-flat apartment. “Later, we saw her leaving the house with a box on her head. She said she was travelling. It was my landlady that challenged her why she could go out when everybody was busy searching for Emmanuel. “The landlady asked her to stop, but she suddenly increased her pace and started running. That was how the landlady shouted, ‘kidnapper, kidnapper’, and people ran after her.” The box was said to have fallen, and when it was opened, the missing boy was found in it. On interrogation, she said her pastor, the General Overseer of Holy Family Ministry a.k.a House of Mercy, asked her to bring the boy. The area boys followed her to 319, Lagos Road, Ikorodu, where the church is situated. Arriving at the building at 7, Oshodi Street, which was directly at the back of the church building and owned by Pastor Ernest, the residents and area boys found men and women, eight in number, chained and looking frail. One of the captives, a 50 year old woman said she was kidnapped while returning from a night vigil, while another 52 year old man said he was a commercial bus driver and was kidnapped two years ago.

Residents and some journalists insist that the Apapa, Lagos explosion was a BOMB blast!

Still on the late night explosion that rocked Folawiyo axis of Creek Road, Apapa in Lagos on Wednesday...no one is certain about what really happened. Although the Director of the State Fire Service claimed it wasn’t a bomb blast but a gas explosion, the Nigerian police force rebuffed the claim, saying the explosion occurred after a tanker carrying fuel busted into flames...now, residents and some journalists are claiming otherwise. They are certain that what happened was a bomb blast and not a gas explosion or a fuel tanker busting into flames. A journalist - Fejiro Oliver, blogs at secretsreporters.blogspot.com, says it was a clear case of a suicide bomber and a female carried out the task. He even released the picture of the alleged female suicide bomber as seen below:
Also one Adaobi a staff of the company whose building was affected by the blast spoke to Vanguard saying, she still can’t come to terms with the fact that insurgency is now at her doorsteps. “I cannot believe what I have seen today. I have been thinking that all these bombings and killings occurring in the northern part of the country, which I read about in the papers, will never get to the south. “I have never thought that Boko Haram, whose aim, I think, is to create an Islamic Caliphate in the entire northern Nigeria, would ever come to the south. But what I have seen today is shocking. “When I looked at my office building, I discovered that the glasses on the entire building were destroyed by the blast and I wondered where we are heading to”, she said.

Boko Haram members lament Snake bites & spiritual attacks in Sambisa forest

Boko Haram members are now fleeing the Sambisa forest to local governments areas across Borno State owing to strange developments in the forest, believed to be a spiritual attack, Dailypost reports. This hint was given by two members of the Islamic militants arrested on Wednesday at Mairi ward behind University of Maiduguri by members of the Civilian JTF. According to Kolo Mustapha, one of the insurgents arrested, snakes are now attacking them in the forest. “Most of us are fleeing because there are too many snakes now in the forest, once they bite, they disappeared and the victims do not last for 24 hours. “We were told that the people of Chibok local government are the ones turning into snake and attacking us in the forest”, he disclosed. He said some of their leaders have escaped to Cameroon because they are known to the Nigerian authorities and could be easily identified. According to him, those of them who lived all their lives in Maiduguri have nowhere to go but to return to the town. He said they came in Tuesday and were trying to hide in some uncompleted building when some members of the Civilian JTF identified and arrested. “We are pleading with them to spare our lives, we were forced into the sect, but we know that it is not the right way. I have never killed anyone, but my friend here has killed people”, he said. Umar Abor, the other sect member arrested said Kolo Mustapha was lying as all of them had participated in all heinous acts by the sect in the past. “We have fought together since 2010, we have fought in Marte, Bama, Buni Yadima and Gwoza. We were not in Chibok, we have not seen the girls but we heard about it. Our leaders have been talking about it and we have been following all news from the radio. “We decided to flee when almost all our comrades are leaving the Sambisa because of constant attacks by snakes, which we were told was as a result of the Chibok girls abducted. “They (our leaders) told us that it was the people of Chibok that are hunting us through diabolical means in the form of snakes. We were in the forest in 2010 and 2011; we left and came back last year but we have never experienced snakes as this year. It is believed that the Chibok people are using “juju” to pursue us because of their children”, he said. According to him, they had realized their mistakes and had turned a new leaf. The also promised that if spared, they would help the community in fishing out some of their members. Ali Musa, leader of the Civilian JTF at Bama road, who arrested the sect members told DailyPost that many of them have been fleeing the Sambisa forest since last two weeks. “These ones have not attempted to run or do anything stupid, they promised to take us to where they hide their weapons, now we are taking them to our chairman in sector 5, before they will be handed over to security operatives. “We have arrested dozens since last week while they were trying to come to town”, he added.

A True Nigerian- Man Criticizes the Masses for Finding Patience Jonathans "not so good English" an Object of Mockery.

A certain young Nigerian, Mr. Gerard has sent out an article defending our first lady, Patience Jonathan against critics of her 'English' - especially those that mocked her 'Na only you waka come' speech on the Chibok girls. Read Gerard's article below: Patience Jonathan does not speak good English (We agree) but she is loved by a PHD Holder, former Deputy Governor, former Vice President and the President of a powerful nation. Who have you attracted with your Queen's English? You can speak flawless grammar but you cannot stand by your man through tough times. She was a tailor in Warri with little or no education, today she is the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. (There's God O°˚˚ ).
Wise ones will learn from her. Interestingly, that is the Woman that stood by GEJ when he was living with all his brothers in one room apartment. The woman that took GEJ to her Uncle in Zoology Dept. of Uniport in order to help him get admission which he got. The Woman that stood by GEJ when he had no food to eat and will bring food stuffs for him in school every weekend. The Woman that used her money from her business to help GEJ to pay for handouts and textbooks when he was an Undergraduate. The Woman that stood by GEJ till he became the President of Nigeria. Now, answer these questions... How many of you ladies here can do this for the Love of a Man? How many of you guys can boast that your girl can stand by you like Patience did? How many of you guys prefer a lady that speaks good English but will be the worst wife ever. How many of you guys will prefer a wife that speaks good English but will be your downfall tomorrow. A wife that speaks good English but will make your life miserable like hell on earth. Is that what you prefer? Many of you have left your men because they don’t have money & men are in a big race to marry a big girl. Then you stand and say "There is GOD oooo. OF COURSE, THERE'S A GOD who doesn't judge by outward appearances or the fluency of anybody's spoken English. Yes, there is God who is waiting for ONLY you to waka come

Boko-haram-abducted-60-girls-in-borno-state-yesterday-bringbackourgirls/#

While we are still waiting for the return of the nearly 300 Chibok school girls by Boko Haram in April, word reaching us is that another 60 girls have been abducted by insurgents in Kummabza village under Damboa LGA in Borno State. NTA News reported the horrific news last night, That’s all the information that I have but will update as soon as we get some more. It’s sad to think that this is what is now slowly becoming the norm in Northern Nigeria. Three months after the abduction of the Chibok girls, more girls are still being kidnapped. Despite national and international condemnation & outrage…it’s like the more we speak against it, the more fired up the insurgents are to carry out their heinous acts! please bring back our girls!

Tonto Dikeh getting married soon? (Photos)

When a woman is set to get married, she does things like try out makeup, dresses etc..Tonto Dikeh just did her makeup trial and said "Makeup trial for the big day"....She then said her man didn't like it..I'm presuming it's her boyfriend who she calls Mr X.Remember he spoilt her silly for her 29th birthday ..When a woman is set to get married, she does things like try out makeup, dresses etc..Tonto Dikeh just did her makeup trial and said "Makeup trial for the big day"....She then said her man didn't like it..I'm presuming it's her boyfriend who she calls Mr X.Remember he spoilt her silly for her 29th birthday .. - See more at: http://naijagistmei.blogspot.com/2014/06/tonto-dikeh-getting-married-soon-photos.html#more
Even bought her an G-Wagon being shipped into the country now..Very few men will do that if they aren't serious with the lady or plan to wife her. Worthy of note is the fact that, the makeup artist does alot of bridal makeup...... Since she hasn't been spotted with the C.E.O of Malivelihood ,Micheal Awolaja who used to spoil her with diamond and gold encrusted gifts ,some people think the Mr X is Dbanj .I doubt that . I love decoding stuff lol...Congrats in advance More photos from her makeup trial below - See more at: http://naijagistmei.blogspot.com/2014/06/tonto-dikeh-getting-married-soon-photos.html#more

These are the faces and names of the abducted Chibok Girls (PHOTOS)

According to Gordon Brown of Mailonline who released the photos some moments ago. “I was shown these pictures after visiting Nigeria this week. I met the leader of the community council in Chibok, the town from which the girls were abducted. Slowly and with tears in his eyes, he flicked through a file in which he had recorded the names and photographs of the girls. Not even the police and Army have managed to compile such detail he has amassed from talking to the parents of the kidnapped teenagers. The file has 185 pages — one for every girl. Each page has a photograph, and beside each passport-sized picture some stark facts — the girl’s name, her school grade and the date of abduction. For the other 19 abducted girls, he has yet to locate photographs.”

Doris Simeon reacts to the 'Toyin Aimakhu versus Stella Damasus' beef/tweet

Actress Doris Simeon has dissociated herself from a controversial message posted by her fellow actress Toyin Aimakhu-Johnson recently on twitter. ‎ She told NET that although she’s friends with Aimakhu-Johnson, she didn’t know about the message and didn’t expect it. ‘I didn’t see it, I only heard about it’, she said. Asked if she thinks Aimakhu-Johson may have sent the message on her behalf, she says ‘My marriage issue is a thing of the past. Everybody has gone their separate ways and life still goes on.’ Aimakhu-Johnson has since deleted the message, which read: ‘Madam Nigeria is my country. Nobody is killing anyone cos no be only u do video…#visadonexpire #bringoursonback #attentionseeker #luvustill’ a message many believed was aimed at Stella Damasus, who, a few days earlier, accused some people of trying to silence her. ‘No form of political bullying or intimidation will work! You can’t shut me up! I will stand and speak the truth, regardless of your tactics…that is what Nigeria is known for, you say the truth and they try to silence you’ Damasus tweeted.
