Father Pleads That is Son be Jailed For stealing lol!

A 24-year-old man, Macaulay Udoma was arrested and
charged before the court for stealing and was remanded in
prison custody at Kirikiri, Lagos. The trial at a magistrate
court Ejigbo took another turn when the suspect’s father,
Mike Udoma confirmed that his son was a thief and
pleaded with the court to jail him according to his crimes.
Mr. Udoma told the court, “Macaulay has been a terror in
the family and there was no place one will keep money in
the house that he would not find and steal it. “I have been
wondering how he locates where there is money in the
family house. No matter where you hide money, he will
locate and steal it,”
The embittered father lamented in the open court that his
family has been going through the trauma over the years
and now wants him to be jailed so that peace would return
to his family.
He said his other sibling are pursuing their education, but
he chose to be a commercial driver, yet he would not let
him have peace in his home.
The angry father ordered Macaulay arrested after he
burgled his office at 7 Ona-Aro street Idimu, Lagos and
stole his different bank cheque booklets in order to steal
his money.
He was caught and handed over to the police at Idimu
Division and he was charged to court. He is now facing a
five-count charge of stealing under the Criminal Code,
Laws of Lagos State.
When he was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty to the
charge.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs M.B. Folami granted him bail
in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was, however, remanded in prison custody pending
when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 25th of June 2014.
