THIS MUST BE HOW YOU ENDED UP IN LAGOS

We all have one or two reasons why we moved to Lagos.  Everyday, Ifesinachi, Peace, The young, God is Good, Okeyson and others conveyed loads and loads of people to Lagos. Everyone of them has a reason why they are coming to Lagos. Few months down the line, forget why they came to Lagos; they are already here and there’s no immediate plan to go back. So how did you end up in Lagos? Don’t worry let me attempt the answer first.
In Search of Greener Pasture
EMEM, JOKE, JESSICA, NIFEMI even ENIOLA and BIOLA are all in Lagos
for one and the same reason. Greener pastures. Why not? Grasses in Lagos are always greener. People living in Lagos may not know this, but everybody outside Lagos believes there are green grasses everywhere in Lagos and the Lagos cows are having the fun of their lives grazing the fields. Okay, let’s leave what brought other people to Lagos, why are you in Lagos?
You were Born in Lagos
I can see you shaking your head in disagreement that you didn’t come to Lagos in search of any greener pastures. So how did you end up in Lagos? “I didn’t end up in Lagos, I was born here. You no dey hear word?” Sorry o, Omo Eko; I hail o!
You were Posted to Lagos
Were you also posted to Lagos? Uche and Hassan said they were retained after their NYSC and that was how they became Lagosians. You see everybody has one or two stories to tell about how they ended up in Lagos. Ask some soldiers or Immigration staff, most of them will tell you they were also posted to Lagos.
My Husband Lives in Lagos
Have you heard how your Igbo neighbour came to Lagos? It is simple; let me tell you. One December, Emeka travelled to his village for the Christmas celebration, he saw your neighbour, now popularly known as Mama Nonso. Mama Nonso was later invited to Lagos to “at least see where Nonso stays in Lagos and what he does for a living.”
One month after her visit, Mama Nonso calls Emeka  to inform him that the seed he deposited in her had germinated. Emeka had to rush to the village to conclude marriage rites. Mama Nonso is then ferried back to Lagos where she now holds sway. Or is that your story too?
Did I mention how you came to Lagos? If no, kindly let us know how you ended up in Lagos.
Personally, am from lagos island OMO EKO GAN GAN NI MI!
